It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of our esteemed colleague, David Dinwoodey, effective October 1, 2023.
While David has been part of the Morse family for more than ten years, his career spans more than 40 years, focused largely on providing legal services for complex business and project financings. He has contributed significantly to our success and earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, clients, and peers alike. During his tenure, David has displayed exceptional legal acumen, unwavering dedication, and a commitment to excellence. Perhaps even more importantly, David is a true old school gentleman and a kind and generous colleague.
After beginning his career as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he negotiated comprehensive development and financing agreements for multi-stage “new community” projects, David went in-house as assistant general counsel for a prominent national real estate development company. While there, he focused on the comprehensive rezoning and institutional refinancing of the company’s largest project. Prior to joining Morse, David practiced for over 20 years at Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar concentrating on complex financings.
Although we are saddened by his departure, we also celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in David’s life. Retirement is a well-deserved reward for years of hard work, and we wish him only the best as he focuses on personal pursuits, family trips to the Cape, and new adventures.
Please join us in extending our warmest congratulations and heartfelt thanks to David for his dedication, loyalty, and exceptional service throughout his time at Morse.
